Martin De Saulles
Writer. Analyst. Lecturer
I am a writer who combines academic rigour with the ability to distil often complex concepts into the language of business. My writing ranges from books aimed at business and academic audiences to white papers and articles for trade publications including CIO, IDG, The Conversation, The Next Web and The Times Higher Education. In addition, I write papers for academic journals and conferences.
A background as a researcher and analyst in the technology sector as well as experience of running a start-up in the first dotcom innovation wave informs my writing and brings a practical dimension to it. In addition, an MSc and PhD in innovation and technology policy from the University of Sussex ensures my books, articles and teaching at the University of Brighton are grounded by proven methods and frameworks.
Recent books include:
Information 2.0 – New Models of Information Production, Distribution and Consumption (Facet Publishing, 2015);
The Internet of Things and Business (Routledge, 2017);
The Business of Data – Commercial Opportunities and Social Challenges in a World Fuelled by Data (Routledge, 2020);
